Someone commented on one of my sold out item: "This is nice, you should restock this!"
Why should I? You want to buy meh? If you are interested, send an email to me to request for restock. If you are not, then why should I restock and keep stock?
Do you buyers know that we seller's money are stuck on the stock we have?

Hi there! we're having the same problem. there was a customer asked us to restock. But once the dress arrived, we sent email to her but no reply at all. we sent again to ask her whether she still interested, nah she didn't bother to reply. just went MIA. Thank god, there were another buyers who wanted to buy. :)
ReplyDeleteis just a comment la, dun tell me u r angry bcuz of tis. i see it as compliment lo, n u know wat is customer's taste.. i dun mind my customer approach me and say tis is nice, n tis is ugly.. cuz they r the one buying our staff.. have to know them well..
ReplyDeleteomg you're so grumpy. if I know which blogshop you are from, I would never buy anything from you. comment also want to be like this. just take it as a compliment, no harm done.
ReplyDeletei love it when uguys say things like 'oh if i know which blogshop you are from, i won't buy from you'. cos if i knew who you are, i wouldn't want u coming to my blogshop either :)
ReplyDeletegrumpy pots! its just a freaking comment. if u think she dont really want it, take it as a compliment. she's just telling u, u got nice items. if u think she's interested whats the harm of replying the comment and asking if she wants it or its just a statement. so stupid and grumpy.
ReplyDeletethis seller seems like she's got a major attitude problem. immature, inexperienced, unprofessional, rude and bitchy. i'm with anon JUNE 25, 2010 6:21 PM, if i knew ur blogshop, i wouldn't buy from u either. u should really reflect on the comments written here if u're serious about ur improving ur business, instead of letting off steam and complaining for god knows what reason.
ReplyDeletewriter/seller shld just shot herself
ReplyDeletedo us a favour
Haha... aiyo... just asking "why should I" is known as got attitude problem? *faint*
ReplyDeleteI think the readers here are immature,inexperienced... like those anons stated as above! What's wrong with this website?!
LOL so grumpy! If you don't want to restock just ignore. If you could at least you know people think it's nice.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I mail sellers too when I see something nice and I tell them to "let me know if you guys can restock". I always get nice replies! Sure most of the time they don't restock but what's the harm with keeping good PR with customers.
Slap seller!
Now I wonder Anons June 25, 2010 6.21PM; 7.19PM; 7.25PM; 8:20 PM are those who like to ask sellers to restock? And also always like to enquire/buy SOLD OUT items which are nonrestockable? Hate it!
ReplyDeleteAiyo, please don't stop by my blogshop too. :P
I do not have time to entertain this kind of customers!
Author! You spoke my heart! Go away annoying "customers"! After all these peopple just like to comment, they are not known as "customer" yet!
ReplyDeleteYou don't sound like a nice or friendly person... I would hate to deal with you.
ReplyDeleteIs it a crime to suggest anything?
ReplyDeleteSigh..It's tiring to see all these bickering between sellers and buyers. It's entertaining at first..but after a while it just gets to you doesn't it..oh well..
ReplyDeletewhat author is trying to say is, if u are serious about wanting the seller to restock the item and u wish to commit to purchasing the item when it is restocked, then u can email her to request for the seller to do that.
ReplyDeleteif u want to compliment the item, u coulda simply said, that item is nice/i like this item. don't need to say things to lead seller to believe that u will buy n then leave them high and dry when the item is actually restocked.
of course u will say things like 'oh i ask her to restock only mah..never say i will buy also? i complimenting the item only wat, if i dun buy someone else will'. but hello? why should seller take extra risk by listening to your stupid suggestions? end of the day when no one buys, who will be stuck with the stock? seller or u?

You read this website don't you? So you think you are immatured, inexperienced, unprofessional, rude and bitchy!
I think you are too.
the seller is so stupid, and those who agreed with the seller, i totally cant understand why. its just a comment complementing your garments kay? stop acting so childish. customers wouldnt wanna purchase stuffs from a blogshop with unpolite and rude owner. i mean, hello, just say thanks for the complement and just ask her to fill in the order form if she's really interested. if she did not, then just ignore it and you should be happy for the complements. to seller, the customer did not insist you to restock, did she? so you should just shut up and say thank you.
ReplyDeleteGeez, defensive much? I agree with Anon JUNE 25, 2010 11:33 PM. If you're a good businessman/woman, you can easily turn this compliment into an opportunity for further sales.
ReplyDeleteIf I were the person giving the compliment, I'd be so turned off reading this, because I meant it sincerely and here you are, ranting as if I've offended you. Puhleeze.
"Now I wonder Anons June 25, 2010 6.21PM; 7.19PM; 7.25PM; 8:20 PM are those who like to ask sellers to restock? And also always like to enquire/buy SOLD OUT items which are nonrestockable? Hate it!"
ReplyDeletethis is so typical. when we commented on a 'story', u'll say we're the ones that ask to restock and all. then i'll say oh u guys must be those sellers that fikir your blogshop is so good so u never bother about keeping it smooth between u and your customer? come on. for the sake of your business, why don't you start all over again from ABC and learn to smileeeeee even if u don't want to. take this story as a very good example.
i dont think there's anything wrong for me to say i won't buy anything from this seller because of her attitude. it's my point of view. so far, the sellers that i've dealt with are pretty nice people :) n i myself as a buyer always keep a good relationship with these sellers. but this one is such a great turn off.
seriously? just a simple "you should restock this" for a COMMENT, became "why should I? You want to buy, if interested, email la if not why should I restock n keep to stock?"
ReplyDeleteseller pls, since you don't have the courtesy anywhere near you to at least say oh do u like it? thank you, then just suck it all in and forget about it. you have all the time to kutuk the stock commentor here but no time at all to make your business more 'customer friendly'.
PMS maybe T___T
Gosh.. can't believe there are these kinda sellers. So unprofessional and impatient!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, whether the buyer really wanted to buy from you or not, it's a compliment, just take it! Even if the customer does not plan to buy from you if you restock, she is just trying to tell you "hey, you could really sell more of this if you restock it" -- just a suggestion for you to have more sales. If you don't like it, leave it! Just take it as a compliment.
Is it so hard for you to just say "Awww thank you dear, we'd definitely consider that! Let us know if you're interested to order and we'll see whether we can restock it for you alright :)" Who knows, you might really sell to this commentator and even generate more sales when other customers see that comment and realize that the item might be restockable and hence place their orders too!
Seriously, what is there to lose for you? Why the need to complain about that small comment? Why the need to be so defensive and say, "why should I"?
why i keep feeling that the comments who back the author up is the author itself? or i'm too naive to believe there's that much of impatient sellers out there?
ReplyDeleteif you want to restock, just do it, if you don't want to take the risk, so stop it. you yourself should know the potential of that item before you do restocking, don't you? or you just blindly do restocking? ask for a deposit if ur customers want it. if they never mention they want, only a comment asking you to restock, you can choose what, to do or not to do.
im with anon june 25, 6.21pm.
is replying like "sorry hun, this item is OOS and we're not restocking. do drop by more often to check out for our updates or just follow us for the latest updates yea!" , difficult? :\
i'm with you anon june 26, 2010 11.17am. i don't think there's this many childish sellers out there. like hello, the person said "you SHOULD restock this". not "you MUST restock this" or "you HAVE TO restock this". there's no implication whatsoever of him/her forcing you to do so. if you feel like restocking, then do it. if not, just leave it be. why all the fuss? sheesh. seller like this pun ada.
ReplyDeletethis seller seriously got issues.
ReplyDeleteOh well, bye! *waves happily* Don't ever come back! =)
ReplyDeleteThis website is so full of hate recently. Shouldn't it be a place where sellers and buyers try to improve themselves from the complaints made?
ReplyDeleteyeah...sellers should be more patient...i'm also a seller myself...small things like tis doesnt bother me at all...
