I came across blogshops that state their clothes size as " fits Uk4 till Uk12 ". So now people that are Uk4 can fit Uk12 size?
Personally, I've experienced this before. I bought a dress that states it can fit Uk4-Uk12. I'm a Uk6. But the dress turned out so huge that its more like a Uk12! I think the seller meant that Uk4 people can fit the dress looking like a clown.
I swore never to buy from this blogshop anymore because her pictures look nothing like the real deal!

back in the days of FT there was a complain/were several complains about a particular blogshop like that too. the seller purposely 'pinned' all the clothes so it'll fit her body nicely/show a good cut when in reality the cutting sucks/it's way bigger than portrayed.
ReplyDeletenot sure if it's the same one (sells basics, model has good figure, snaps own picture from the mirror).
mail me?
cynthiachengjl@gmail.com
Very much agree! The blogshop who always compare their price to Bangsar boutiques which sell them for RM299 and claim theirs is exclusive and imported from Korea. I bought a dress from them which is waaaay to big for UK4-8, it's more for UK10-14. I tell them nicely their info is misleading cos it's clearly not suitable for petites and they suggest alteration. I wouldn't want the dress if it needs alteration, don't u get it???
ReplyDeleteCynthia, I know which blog you're talking about. I bought a dress from her before. I used to be a UK10 back then, and the model looks petite from the pics. So I was quite worried that the item would be too tight on me. Manatau, the item turned out to be too big for me. The seller should at least let people know that she pins the clothes to fit her body better. I've boycotted her shop ever since and told all my friends about it
ReplyDeleteyeah, i suspected that she pinned all her clothes. I emailed her about the misleading info of the dress and she immediately remove the entire post of that dress. Note:She do not remove post of clothes that are sold out. I swear the dress look nothing like the picture, not even close.
ReplyDeleteCarly, really? you've bought from her before?
ReplyDeletemy friend is contemplating getting something from her shop but maybe I should advise her not to..
Author, got ur mail :)
ReplyDeleteit's a different blogshop from the one i was referring too but i guess same problems! haha
gosh these girls need to be taught from ethics
Cynthia, yup yup :( Now that dress is still hanging in my closet..*sigh*
ReplyDeleteI guess t-shirts and tops are okay..but when it comes to dresses, better not buy from her
i hate people like this. the size range they should put is the sizes that look good in it or where the clothes will fit nicely. i mean, if a dress is suitable for uk10 than just state there uk10. or probably uk8-uk10. not uk4-uk12, since it'll be too big for uk4 and too tight for uk12. but i guess they're doing this since they're covering a larger group of people with different sizes so maybe sales will be higher as its not limited to petites/plus sizes only.
ReplyDeleteCynthia, hahaha yeah. Hey, could you mail me about the blogshop you're refering to? :D
ReplyDeletecynthia, i think i know which blog. right now her blog is kinda messy ( i think her template code was messed up.) this blogshop start from A right?
ReplyDeletei heard she pinned up her clothes too. wonder if its the same blogshop we're talking bout?
To anonymous 9.38pm, yup! messy template code + blogshop starts with A ;)
ReplyDeleteTo Carly, i see. my friend wants to get a dress but is now having second thoughts, haha

i got the email already. yes, i've had trouble and heard bad stories about both of them. i mean, i had problems with the blog cynthia is referring to and my friend had problems with the one author is referring to. and if i'm not mistaken, ages ago someone made a fuss that the one i had problems with even photoshopped herself which is why sometimes her waist seems sooo small, although not as bad as another blog where her photoshopping is more famous and obvious.
ReplyDeleteCan i know too? curious ;)

ReplyDeletedear author, email me can??
Looks like there is more than one shop then!
ReplyDeleteI bought dresses from a really famous shop that states that the dresses can fit uk4-12 too. im a uk6-8 and the dresses were waaaayyy too loose on me. Seems like the same one anon MAY 4, 2010 8:53 PM is talking about. the price comparison and the imported parts. I recently saw a dress i liked and asked for the measurements which were 2 inches bigger than mine so i declined, her reply was im sure it'll fit u nicely since i gave u the widest measurements! How will it fit nicely is it's LOOSE????!!!!!
may i know? impulsivefashionista@hotmail.com

you guys are stupid.
ReplyDeleteif you are a UK4 and you want to buy something that can fit from a UK4 to a UK12, COMMON SENSE HELLO? it means it's BIG enough to SWALLOW a UK4 and fit a good UK12.
STUPID!
Is there a magic clothing that can alter sizes to fit both a UK4 and a UK12 perfectly? -_-
My experience with this blogshop starts with a "D". They have their own domain now. The model look slim and the dress look so nice on her but when i got my dress, it was a shock! Yeah.. i can fit in the dress of course..but like the author said, look like a clown. Fits UK14, not UK4!!!!
ReplyDeleteEmail me! I wanna know!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!

ReplyDeleteHey anon MAY 5, 2010 8:26 AM, same blogshop im referring to! but seems like the clothes are very popular! Sells off in 2 days max, restocks as well. i really do wonder if other ppl have the same prob :(
ReplyDeletehey, yea maybe u ask them for measurement.. that will definately help!
ReplyDeleteWhat the seller meant is that yes! the clothes can fit in UK 4- UK 12 of cos but depends i guess?
Example if you buy a dress sized L, can size S fit in?? YES! definately can! but its lose mah. What they meant was CAN FIT but mayb not perfectly.
So my suggestion is stop creating havoc and ask from the seller measurement. I only will buy from blogshop that provide measurements. Dont buy blindly, Make sure that the measurement is right for you then only u buy! or ask the seller for the model size, am sure they will help! hi hi
Peace!
dear cynthia @ author, please do let me know too. plumdrop@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThank you.

ReplyDeletewhy so mean, lah? i think everyone's just frustrated that sellers are not telling the truth about the sizing of their clothes.
i mean, usually if i see something stated as "Fits UK6-UK14" and the model looks like a UK8 and the dress or whatever fits her perfectly, then obviously i would think "oh i guess the dress would look best on a UK8" - not knowing that the model has actually pinned her clothes to make it fit well.
HELLO. this is common sense, too.
by the way, anyone who knows which blogshop author & cynthia are talking about, do mail me:
ReplyDeletelikexsnow@gmail.com
thanks.
start with "D"?... i am a lil curious, just making orders from 2 D's blogshop....
ReplyDeleteWould like to know too..dear Author and Cynthia, would truly appreciate it if you can mail me both those blogshops.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
sheneithavarma@gmail.com
Dear author and Cynthia, would like to know blogshops you were mentioning, please email me thanks! :)
ReplyDeletecatherhea[at]live[dot]com
Woots woots! Pretty dresses u got there but do not fit petites! Not even uk8 damn it... THEN DONT WRITE UK4-UK12. Dresses are not T-shirts, not meant to be wear loose with two strings hanging from my shoulder. COMMON SENSE!
ReplyDeletenot all buyers got long ruler ok. we trust the seller for giving us accurate info and from the model we can tell roughly what size she is. Turn out she those sellers cheat us buyers by pinning their clothes and make it fit nicely on them. After we got the dress only found out it's bigger than we thought. I only buy from those who is more honest like they will write there "not suitable for petites" or "more suitable for petites" or other info that is honest and helpful.
ReplyDeleteomigosh. please ask sellers for measurement .. thats the only way or ask them the model's stats .. then only decide whether to buy or not... why make whole issues so complicated?? lol
ReplyDeletegirls just love dramas..sighh..not even helping or suggesting the seller what shud they do ?
im a buyer and i always ask for measurement for model's stats before buying. so far i dont have problem. no harm asking the sellers right??
huhuh avid online shopper here.i bought a dress from a very famous blogshop and they have their own domain, they have very pretty dresses every week! but the dress i bought seems to be lose on me. I emailed the seller and inform them that i cant fit!
ReplyDeleteim gona tell u guys abt this! This seller they asked me to send back the dress and they ask me to change with other dress or refund me! Their service is the best and they are so so friendly!! so if u cant fit.. email the sellers! dont always blame them or give negatives suggestion like boycot la, ask fren dnt buy. Malaysian culture is it? love to make things worst.be more rasional le..sighh
To Anon May 5,8.08PM, really wanna laugh at u.. can't even understand what others are talking about. Ask for model's stats??? yeah...what's the use they give u their stats but they also cheat u by PIN THE DRESS FIT NICELY TO THEIR BODY. GET IT DUM???!!!
ReplyDeleteCan i know what is the point when the sellers provide measurement?
ReplyDeletemay i know which blogshop is that? i think i know but just wanna confirm is it the same one. thanks!

thanks

pls email me too!:)i didnt receive any!
ReplyDeleteannie_llg@yahoo.com
hi.
ReplyDeleteplease email me too.
ana.ashes@gmail.com
I avidly buy things from the 'D' blogshop (if its the same one that anon refers to la). So if it can't fit you, then don't buy la. There are so many other people wanting their items as well but always sold out. Stop the impulse purchase and ask sellers whether it can fit you first before purchasing. Saves the trouble. I believe her blog gives the measurement in the posts.
ReplyDeletelol..people just love to create havoc. It is the fact! if a dress cant fit you, just dont buy! check the sizes or measurement.if not what is the point all these details given?? Do u guys know that u tend to look slimmer from the way u pose??? check yahoo! i remember that there is a blog called Blush somethin, she taught us how to pose. Lols...
ReplyDeleteAnon May 7, 2010 10:32 AM <--- damn out of topic one. i doubt that he/she got read the post or everyone's comments properly... sad.
