I wonder if anyone encounter this kind of situation:
Let's say A is Ronald Mcdonald, and B is Colonel Sanders. One day Ronald McDonald walks up to Colonel Sanders and ask: hey what's the secret recipe you used for KFC chicken ah?
If you're Colonel Sanders would you even answer Ronald McDonald (burker king, sushi king or any other competitor equilvalent?), I mean, come one lah. I sell KFC, you also sell fried chicken, now you want to know my secret recipe also? You think I'm too old can't see clearly that you're also into this chicken business is it? What's with the copycats nowadays?

ReplyDeleteLOL! Me too!! I am craving for ayam goreng after reading this. Now I know what to eat for lunch. Thanks, author. Btw, Ms Ronald is just looking for an easy way out. Wanna start your own business? Please do your own research.
ReplyDelete"According to the gas chromatograph, the secret ingredient is...Love?! Who's been screwing with this thing?!"

ReplyDeletefor realz!
yeah..same here too!! i sell some stuffs which (i do admit) may be a bit different than others, and from time to time i would have a couple of girls (i assumed they're girls hehe) that would ask me on how to start a business like me.....they would come up being all "sweet" n butter me up with compliments like "owh i wish i can be as successful as you!" "please tell me how to be a great business person like you"....ok honestly...im the kind of person who would love to help others...so i did give out some advises to them..n what should n shouldn't be done in order to start a business....then i realized...most of them were just trying to "trick" me into telling them where do i get my sources from n how do i utilize them n made them into a selling product....well i stop there n then..
ReplyDeleteeven after several emails...i just told them things like "well that one you have to find yourself..be different and even when i first started out..there was no one to guide me"...
like a few times....n guess what?? after that they just vanished!! not a even a THANK YOU email for al the helpful tips/hints/guide i gave them....guess they got tired/gave up since they couldnt coaxed me out of giving away my resources....
sigh.......seriously....4th anon was right...they're just looking for an easy way out....but come on....if you are not willing to go through the hardship...it shows that you're not ready to open up a business...nothing comes easy to you...
no wonder we have alot of people complaining about blogshops nowadays..i think most of these "newbies who had it easy" may have not known how to handle a situation when a crisis comes up..they panicked....then the buyers and other blogshop sellers' reputation would suffer..
ok..i know....im rambling too much....i think im going to go n get my fried chicken now to ease my thoughts ;)
i always luv mcD's ayam goreng spicy...but KFC's spice crunch....the black pepper one I GOT TO TRY! ahahaha!
ReplyDeletei also like author's well-said analogy.. ;)
