Not so genuine afterall

I was looking through the blogshops one day when I came across this shop which claims that they sell only original genuine ray bans. Knowing that proper sun protection with good ophthalmic lens I decided to purchase them after being assured 100% customer satisfaction.

However, I realised that those are 100% fakes. Down to the so called warranty card by "BAUSCH AND LOMB". A friend in the optical industry informed me that B&L WAS the founder but the "ray ban" was sold off to Luxottica group way back.

Was very upset as the lens of the fake ray ban tested negative for sun protection and is merely a piece of cheap coloured plastic.

I wouldn't be so mad if the seller did not state and assure the goods to be original. Alot of blogshops are selling brands-inspired goods, the most important thing is never cheat your customers.

To all the shoppers out there, do look out for such fakes in the market. for me, i would rather fork out more money in good shops like focus point than waste money on useless plastics as lenses.

    You should have asked for a refund. Seller was obviously misrepresenting their goods.

    Chope, does the seller know its fake? Did you tell her what you found out? Those are grounds for a refund you know.

    We believe that the buyer bought the sunglasses from our blogshop. And we feel like we are called to give a comment on this issue.

    All our sunglasses are genuine Ray-Ban from Bausch & Lomb (USA). Please do not compare with the sunglasses selling at the optical shops, all of them are from Luxottica (Italy). Most of our buyer who asked this question are already well informed by us about this.

    The lens made by B&L USA and 100% UV protection tested at European Laboratory. These sunglasses are considered vintage/classic ray-ban. And for your information, the lens is made by glasses, not plastec as mentioned.

    We believe in customer satisfaction because we're also a blogshop buyer as you too.
    We believe that the buyer bought the sunglasses from our blogshop. And we
    feel like we are called to give a comment on this issue.

    not compare with the sunglasses selling at the shops, all of them are from

    There are few differences for these two sunglasses, i.e. for Luxottica (RB etched on the lens and have model number and made from Italy written at rear frame); for Bausch & Lomb (BL etched on both of the lens and nose pieces, marked at the top of bridge bar B&L RAY-BAN USA and beneath of the bar is B&L RAY-BAN 58[ ]14).

    The lens made by B&L USA and 100% UV protection tested at European
    Laboratory. These sunglasses are considered vintage/classic ray-ban.

    As you know, our policy is 100% satisfaction guarantee. If the buyer are not happy with the purchase, kindly the buyer can ask for refund and return the sunglasses to us in unused condition and original packaging.

    If you have any other suggestions please let us know. We are happy to resolve the problem amicably.
