Your Items Have Long Gone Into Extinction

I have a customer who enquired about a few items. Noting its availability, I keyed in the invoice and sent it to her.

She never replied.

A year and a half later, she replies my email.

"but but but I never said I wanted to buy."

I already sold her items off to other interested buyers since she didn't have the courtesy to tell me immediately. And why enquire so much when you don't even plan on buying?! Waste my time only replying her emails.

But the stupidest part is replying to my email which was sent in 2008. 2008 for goodness sake!

  1. I'm on neutral ground here. You didn't exactly provide us the exchange of that email. You could have misinterpreted buyer's intentions.

  2. Anon : Misinterpretation or not, its still 1 1/2 years too late right?

  3. Lol. This happened to me before as a buyer. I was merely asking about the item and the seller thought I am ready to place an order and sent me an invoice after that. I was like what the?

  4. Both seller and buyer are at fault.

Seller thought buyer wanted to buy the items, buyer took 1+ years to reply back! Lol x 100 times.

  5. I'm a seller. As far as I understand, an enquiry in NOT a confirmation of purchase. Sure, the buyer took one heck of a long time to reply. But point is, buyers have plenty of enquiries before buying. Some may end up not buying at all after a barrage of questions. I have gone through that every so often. But I think it's a seller's resposibility to attend to buyers' questions regardless.
