Double it!

One day, i got an order from a customer. She wanted item X so badly. She even told me to wait for her to bank in the money since she's been really busy. She sounded so keen so I said ok lah, i'll wait. & suddenly, she went MIA for about a week 5 days like that. I emailed her a few times, asking whether she still wants it or not but no reply :S So I released her item, obviously. I sold it off. After a few days, I saw 'extra' money in my bank. I was like 'HEH?' & the MIA girl told me she has banked in the money.

ME : 'OH im sorry but the item is sold out, you went MIA & didnt reply my email, im sorry, i'll refund your money or maybe u can pick something else'

MIA girl : WHAAAAAAT?? YOU SOLD IT OFF??? I TOLD YOU TO WAIT FOR ME RIGHT. IVE BEEN BUSY. UGHHH -_- I WANT U TO REFUND MY MONEY DOUBLE SINCE IM VERY FURIOUS RIGHT NOW -.- & NONE OF YOUR CLOTHES ARE NICE, THEY ARE UGLY!!!!

ME : But you didnt reply my emails & u went MIA for a week plus. There were buyers waiting for the item & im sorry I cant refund u double, i will only refund u the total of money you banked in.

MIA girl : YOU SHOULD BE BANNED. I WANT THAT ITEM! Ask the previous buyer to send back the item to you & i'll buy !!

ME : I'm sorry I cant. It's your fault not mine. You left me hanging. I've been really nice to wait fr u to bank in the money. Some blogshops only give 3 days. Im truly sorry.

MIA girl : STUPID. I insist double ! Here is my account XXXXXXXXXX. I expect to see the money in double amount by tonight !!!! I HOPE NO ONE WILL BUY STUFF FROM U ANYMORE. BANKRUPT !!!

I didnt reply. She is so scary :S IDK whats wrong with her D: Is it my fault or hers? :( But i feel bad though D:

    She should have mentioned or give an estimation days / date on when she'll be able to bank in the money.

    50% seller fault

    since you have given her the special treatment, you should have mentioned to her how many days that you'll reserve it for her. cause if just wait, 1 day or 1 month or 1 year is also wait.

    But since she already provide you her acct no. just banked in the exact amount that she banked in, no need to bank in double.

  2. hahah. sounds like a scam la. Who knows she's been doing this for a while, asking people to refund her money DOUBLE based on her 'furiousity'..trying her luck. What laa this girl..

  4. well, since she promised 5 days, i don't think you're wrong for releasing the item..

    dear, did you leave an email informing her that you couldn't wait and gonna sell it off? after selling it, you should've sent another email informing her that you've sold the item..

    at least when she's going mad, it's all her fault.. =)

  6. how is it that it became the seller's fault? she did email her several times reminding her of her purchase. Other online shops would have probably release the item much sooner.

    To the seller, just refund what is necessary and ignore thes crazy lady. She's probably just out there trying to scam you.

    the seller here.
    Yes i told her. I was like you're making me wait, do u still want it? If u dont, then im selling it off to someone else. Please reply me asap. I waited 3 days, NONE. I was furious as well. & she actually said please wait until 5 days, no meetings after that & all. I waited for 1 week & 5 days. Zish, She's giving me a lot of hate emails :( Im very scared D:

  9. i dunno, seller...do u state clearly in ur blog that reservation is only up to xx days? in my opinion, if u have black n white on all the terms n conditions, buyers can't cakap byk anymore...but sometimes, buyers r juz plain ignorant, rite?

    huhu..anyways, i still wanna slap buyer..

  10. If she said to just reserve for her for 5 days and you've reserved it for a week and 5 days already, then i think you've done MORE than she told you to, and definitely MORE than you needed to. So it's purely her fault for not keeping her end of the deal of banking in the money by the end of the 5 days. You did your part already, so don't feel guilty about it.

    Sometimes it seems like buyers don't realize that sellers are humans too and they have feelings too. I'm not really a seller, but i think sometimes buyers can be really mean in that way. :(

    I understand how you're feeling guilty cos of an upset customer. But several anons above are right, this buyer might be just scamming you, or she is plainly trying to threaten you to make you feel guilty and give in to her demands. People like this are highly manipulative to get others do what they want and you don't have to entertain her threats that make you feel bad. Let it go and know that you've done your part and it's not your fault at all :)
